Marc Hauser is an evolutionary psychologist and biologist whose research aims to understand cognitive evolution. His new theory of "humaniqueness" differentiates human and nonhuman animal cognition. He is the author of several books, most recently, Moral Minds: How Nature Designed Our Universal Sense of Right and Wrong. The recipient of several awards, including a Guggenheim Award and a College de France Science medal, Hauser currently co-directs Harvard's Mind, Brain, and Behavior Program and is director of the Cognitive Evolution Lab.
